Fruit
The fruit of Limonia acidissima is mostly known for its hard woody ball, round to oval in shape.
The fruit is a berry, 5 to 8 cm in diameter.
The rind is green and brown outside and contains inside a dark brown sticky pulp.
This pulp is edible, astringent, sweet or sour in taste.
