Leaf

The leaves are reduced to fleshy scales. 
They are very small, about 1.5 mm long and 1 mm wide. 
They are triangular shaped, acute with a glabrous apex.

Flower

The flowers of Boucerosia indica grow in few-flowered (3 to 5) umbellate cymes at the end of the stems. 
The flowers are 2 cm to 3 cm across. 
The pedicels are terete, glabrous and less than 0.5 cm long. 
The flowers are star-shaped with 5 petals. 
The petals have a slightly pointed tip, they are glabrous without and hairy-fringed within. 
The central corolla is red in colour with a purple tip and a minute yellow tooth present in the deep cleft between the adjacent lobes. 
Hairs are present except on the tips of the petals.

Fruit

The fruits of Boucerosia indica are follicles found single or paired. 
The follicles are 5 to 11 cm long. 
They are cylindrical in shape, attenuate toward the apex.
